Media Solutions

Using our own, in house team of experienced Project Managers and Engineers, 8point8 support are ideally placed to service the needs of the Roadside Media Industry. All teams are NRSWA trained and have a wealth of experience delivering difficult roadside projects involving often complex traffic management solutions. From the initial conversation to a possible install, a Project Manager will be allocated to the project to ensure that continuity of knowledge is maintained. We aim to build long term relationships with our Clients and believe this to be a key to our success in delivering projects. Our experienced Project Managers are well versed in delivering time critical projects, usually working to client/ local authority time scales and use their extensive knowledge to ensure all works are carried out to the required standard first time with an aim to deliver on time and snag free. Working in partnership with our Clients, we offer technical advice and support when innovative solutions are required, to ensure sites are built to the required standards in a both cost effective and safe manner. Our Mobile teams of Engineers are supplied with fully Chapter 8 compliant, liveried vehicles which are maintained to a high standard. All are also fitted with vehicle trackers providing real time monitoring of their location to assist with optimal planning of their works.

Planning and design

When a possible site location is identified, 8point8 support will allocate a dedicated Project Manager to work with the Client from day one. They will advise as to buildability and the most suitable economic and safe way of executing the project. 8point8 support believe in early involvement in a project to reduce the chance of unknown issues effecting the programme or the out turn cost. Certainty of budgets we know, is the main driver of our Clients and we believe that time spent in the planning of sites is time ‘well spent’.

Construction phase

As soon as a Project is given he green light to proceed, our Project Managers will produce all the relevant Construction Phase Health and Safety plans and produce a construction programme for the site. In consultation with all the stakeholders, a date for completion will be agreed. Our experienced Civil teams will then deploy to carry out the works. Should lifting be required, crane surveys will be carried out to produce lift plans and these along with Traffic Management plans will be submitted for approval by all parties. All works will then be supervised until completion by our Build Managers.


Prior the offering the site for handover, a detailed pre-handover inspection checklist is completed with any issues being resolved. Test certificates for both electrical installation and steel manufacture are also made available in the handover documentation for the site. In the unlikely event that issues are raised with the installation, the team responsible for the installation will be tasked with rectification. 8point8 believe in ‘Team ownership’ of the site until completion and consider that a team should learn from each deployment to improve the delivered project next time.
