Our rigging teams are market leaders providing services to the mobile sector, delivering 2G, 3G, 4G and WiFi systems to our client’s specifications.
Rigging services have been the backbone of our company since incorporation. We believe the quality of installations and service delivery success rates set us apart from our competitors. These can be attributed to the strength of the technical management who work closely with field operations to achieve optimum results.
8point8 are currently working on a number of 4G rollout programmes, as well as 2G / 3G refresh projects. We deliver projects across all UK networks and our highly trained experienced teams are trained to install equipment from all vendors.
8point8 have delivered an extensive range of GSM-R Networks rail services that includes tunnel portals, site repeaters, RDS (rapid deployment sites) and permanent mast installations at varying heights. Our expertise continues to broaden with over a hundred installations for industry leading rail companies. In 2015 8point8 became affiliated partners of Alan Dick Communications to perform annual maintenance inspections on the HS1 infrastructure (channel tunnel rail link).

Microwave / Network Installation
8point8’s Microwave Department is underpinned with staff experienced in Installation, commissioning and cutting over live traffic at both PDH & SDH levels. Our experience has been gained whilst working on various networks including CTIL, EE & H3G over 15 years. 8point8 have recently been involved in the rollout of NEC Ipassolink 400 on behalf of NEC. Our microwave competency includes:
- Competent with NEC ipasso, Ericsson Minilink, & SIAE technologies
- E1 & Ethernet circuit provision from switch to BTS
- LOS Surveys
